Hello, Goodbye!

The exploration of growing up is just like playing hide and seek with your imagination

“Hello, Goodbye!” connects the fragments of a child’s growth, beginning with a love affair and joy that naturally happens and matures. A new life wanders in the womb, is nurtured with love and will surely grow in it. The stage is formed as a tent with materials as simple as long white cloth stripes. Actors walk between the stripes and make scenes like changing diapers, milk feedings, taking dumps, and taking showers so fun. This play uses newspaper as the primary medium to produce the marionettes, accessories, and the stage. The words on the paper are meant to deliver all the knowledge and social events; however, they also prevent the most sincere and intuitive communications. On the stage made of newspaper, the institution formed with blank paper and ink, the audience enter the world of newspaper with the storyteller and begin a game of hide and seek. We enjoy every moment of the game; we are also brought back to the wonders in the years growing up.
