Frogs in Wonderland I – Rainbow Rain

A Message of Love to People and Land in Chirpy Song and Dance

A group of “mutated frogs,” whose weird shapes and colors alienate them from the normal ones, are forced to bid farewell to their beloved homeland and set off on a quest for a wonderland. The main characters in Frogs in Wonderland, the “mutated frogs” with fantasized appearance, feature The Puppet & Its Double Theater’s specially designed puppetry – unlike the fluff puppet costume seen in other performances: in Frogs in Wonderland, actors’ bodies are partially attached to the 2-meter tall puppets, which not only maintain the adorable fairytale-like shape of frogs but also present an avant-garde puppetry style. More than a wonderful story, it impresses the audience with such an exquisite and unique aesthetics. Frogs in Wonderland is a continuation of The Puppet & Its Double Theater’s long-term practice in humanity and life education, through which it celebrates a message of love to people and land in chirpy song and dance.
